Challenge

The website went through multiple iterations and multiple development partners before our audit. With each new design iteration and development partner, updates were tacked onto existing Kentico Xperience builds. Multiple starts and stops and multiple teams on this implementation led to less than optimal decisions around architecture, security, and performance; a sub-par user experience; and a problematic editing experience for content authors.

 Solution

We quickly resolved many critical security and performance issues utilizing Kentico Xperience's interface. We solved most user experience issues by resolving bugs found in testing and working with the Calico Cottage Team to create new page layouts and widgets on critical pages. Overall, we simplified the content editing experience and provided advanced Xperience training to the Calico Cottage content editors. They are now able to update most of the original content without developer-level skills.
